Salvēte omnēs! Hello, everyone! This is the way ancient romans commonly greeted in their daily life. This is also the way I commence my curated collection, with a roman pavement that salutes us by saying AVE SALVE.

As an archaeologist passionate about the intersection of heritage and technology, I’ve selected here my 20 favorite pieces digitized by Global Digital Heritage. This collection offers an extraordinary journey through time and space, from the majestic togated statues of Tarraco—testaments to Roman grandeur—to the exquisite mosaics of the Villa del Casale, transporting us to the luxury of ancient roman villas –specially those from the 4th Century–.

You’ll also find delicate ceramic oil lamps that once lit ancient homes –and some faulty ones that never got to do it–, stone reliefs that tell tales of gods and heroes, and bronze artifacts that connect us to the daily lives and artistry of the past. Each of these 3D models is a window into our shared heritage, inviting us to explore history with the tools of the 21st century.

I invite you to dive into this selection and discover the richness and diversity of the cultural treasures brought to life by Global Digital Heritage.
