Shield from a gladiator statue from the site of Els Munts (Tarragona, Spain), dated in the mid-2nd century AD. From the Roman villa of Els Munts. Discovered in frigidarium pool. Decorated with the Gorgon´s head in the centre and depictions of Helios and Selene on their chariots, accompanied by diverse figures such as Phosporous, Hesperus and Oceanus. On the back there is the hand and forearm of a lareger-than-life male figure.
