West Coast Fossil Park

This site near Langebaan is one of the richest fossil deposits in the world, containing remains of animals that lived around 5 million years ago. Fossils of saber-toothed cats, short-necked giraffes, and giant pigs have been uncovered, providing valuable insights into prehistoric life on the West Coast of South Africa. Spatially documented by GDHA in June 2024.
