The arched niche (arcosolium) for 4 burials is located near the end of a corridor of the upper level of the catacombs. Paintings: The front part of the reveal shows the busts of the Apostles Peter (right) and Paul (left) with Christograms. The field below Paul depicts a Christogram and the Greek letters Alpha and Omega (Symbols for the beginning and the end). In bad condition are the 2 figures in the back part of the reveal. An inscription identifies still 1 of them as Sossus, Saint of Miseno. The paintings are currently dated in the 5th century. The catacombs itself were used for burials from the 2nd century AD to the Middle Ages.
