The burial chamber is located in the upper level of the Catacomb. Most parts show no decoration today. Only the paintings of 2 arched burial niches are existing. Besides inscriptions and candles or candleholders, both show on the back wall the named defunt(s) in prayer position: a high ranking family (Ilaritas, Nonnosa [above a golden wreath with pearls and a gem], Theotecnus) as well as a dark-skinned man (Proculus). Floral elements decorate the reveal and marble imitation the lower part of the front. The front of Proculus’s tomb also shows palm trees. The paintings are currently dated in the end of the 5th/beginning of the 6th century AD.

Frescos 7 and 8 processed together from 2508 photos and 9 laser scans. The result of a joint project of GDH, the Zamani Project, Università degli Studi di Napoli “L’Orientale”, and the Administration of the Catacombe di Napoli. Processed in Reality Capture. The descriptions were provided by Seniorprofessor Dr. Dieter Korol, Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster.
