Base for a statue of Caracalla, Sagalassos, SW-Turkey. This inscribed statue base was and is located on the Upper Agora of Sagalassos. In the inscription, the city of Sagalassos, ‘first of the Pisidians and a friend and ally of Rome’, honours the Roman emperor Caracalla (198-217 CE). Possibly this honorific monument was erected as a response to the Constitutio Antoniniana (212 CE). Model was processed in Reality Capture from 540 terrestrial photographs.

The data were collected by Global Digital Heritage in August 2019, as part of the University of Leuven Sagalassos Archaeological Research Project and supported by the Global Heritage Fund.
