Chronoscaphe (Time Machine)

This 3D model is of a chronoscaphe (i.e., “time machine”) that was part of the 1960 Blake and Mortimer comic book “The Time Trap” (Le Piège diabolique) by the Belgian artist Edgar P. Jacobs. Part of this story takes place at the French Castle, La Roche-Guyon. A chronoscaphe based on the one in the comic book was built at the La Roche Chateau for tourists to view. The 3D model was made using laser scan data captured with a FARO s70; model was made in Reality Capture software with additional processing in Geomagic and Meshlab.
