Clipeus from the site of Tarraco (Tarragona, Spain), dated in the 1st century AD. Marble fragment of an emblem from a clipeus (medallion) with the representation of Jupiter-Ammon, an Egyptian divinity adopted by Rome and particulary popular during the time of Emperor Augustus. It was part of the decoration of the portico of the Tarraco Worship Area. Found during the archaeological excavations in the Cathedral.
