Neolithic Loom weight, Escoural Cave, Portugal

Piece from the Escoural Cave, belonging to the collection of the Museu Nacional de Arqueologia, and integrated into the collection of the Convent Museum of São Domingos. This is a Crescent Shaped Ceramic Loom Weight. It shows traces of a perforation in both tops. It is made from a compact paste with fine grain non-plastic elements.
