Portrait of Livia from the site of Tarraco (Tarragona, Spain), dated in the first quarter of the 1st century AD. Official portrait of Livia, Augustus’ third wife, preserved fragmented at the back. The caracteristics of her features suggest it is an idealisation that may have stood in the roman theatre of Tarraco or in the Colonial Forum, forming part of a gallery of statues of the imperial family.
