Part D2 of the “Zona Greca” (D) is located in the upper level of the Catacomb and dates to the 3rd century A.D. Once packed with later burials, now showing graves in its floor and 9 “arcosolia” (containing multiple graves) disposed in 2 registers in its walls. Paintings are partly preserved. A multicolored frame system divides the surface in geometrical motives, in which different objects are placed such as birds, shells, leafy or flower branches, grapes, filled vessels, ornaments. Greek inscriptions: presumably names of the deceased, located at the walls, lower parts of the reveals and lunettes.
