Small jug without decoration from Calatrava la Vieja, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. Christian period, mid-13th century. This artifact was found in the 2009 excavations in the south-east sector of the medina, next to the western wall of the alcázar. Probably used as tableware for drinking or for containing liquids.
