Theatrical mask from the site of Tarraco (Tarragona, Spain). Dated between the 1st and 3rd centuries A.D. Terracotta mask with a grotesque face that could be an example of those used in the Atellan farces, satirical-burlesque comedies that ridiculed specific situations and profesions.
