The Tomb of Fernão Gonçalves Cogominho was constructed in 1364 CE. It is a large marble ark. The larger sides of the sarcophagus are decorated with a low relief representation of the Apostolate, whose figures are embedded in sections decorated with vegetable motifs, separated by double colunates, and represent one of the finest examples of 14th century sculpture. At the ends are inscribed the arms of the Cogominho family, the Sequeiros arms and a flower cross. On two of the sides of the sarcophagus, we find an engraved frieze, with a lettering that was added in the 16th century, with an honorific inscription regarding the family and the role of Fernão Gonçalves Cogominho.

The upper statue, a firm depiction of a medieval knight, is defined by the long robe sustained by a firm buckle, the decorated war sword and, at his feet, the representation of a greyhound, symbolizing loyalty.
