The Virgin of Our Lady of the Martyrs statue is conserved in the church of Santiago Apostol (Carrión de Calatrava, Spain). It is a Romanesque statue sculpted in alabaster. Like many others, the statue was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). With the fragments that remained, it was restored after the war as it exists today.
Virgen de Nuestra Señora de los Mártires conservada en la Iglesia parroquial de Santiago Apostol (Carrión de Calatrava, España). Se trata de una talla románica esculpida en alabastro. Como tantas otras imágenes la talla fue destruida durante la Guerra Civil Española (1936-1939). Con los fragmentos que quedaron fue restaurada después de la guerra tal y como la podemos ver hoy día.
