Senior Scientist
Michele Nucciotti is an Associate Professor of Medieval Archaeology and Senior Researcher at the University of Florence. Since 2000, he has led archaeological projects in Amiata, Petra-Shawbak (Jordan), and Armenia, collaborating with institutions such as the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European Union. He has authored over 100 articles and six books, with expertise in medieval rural settlements, public architecture, and digital archaeology. Nucciotti has also managed heritage projects and regional tourism development, securing over €3 million in funding. Since 2020, he has been the Coordinator of the Archaeology and Ancient Near East Section at the University of Florence.
