Located in the region of the Mleiha Archaeological Center in the central part of Sharjah, UAE. The “Mleiha Fort” is a fortified palace that may have been a powerful residence when Mleiha was the center of trade routes in this region 2000 years ago.

It had many well-preserved finds including coin molds, evidence of metal working and coin making, and an extensive amount and array of pottery from the known world of that time.

It was discovered during road construction in the 1990s, and preserved, exavated, and conserved on the orders of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi.
