Giuseppe Prospero Cirigliano, MA

Heritage Research Scientist

Giuseppe Prospero Cirigliano is a PhD student in “Analysis and Management of Cultural Heritage” at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca. His research focuses on the application of advanced digital technologies, particularly LiDAR and remote sensing, to landscape archaeology. Giuseppe holds a second-level Master’s degree in Geotechnologies Applied to Archaeology from the University of Siena, where he also graduated summa cum laude with a Master’s in Archaeology.

Since 2018 he is a collaborator at Laboratory of Landscape Archaeology & Remote Sensing (LAP&T) Siena. Throughout his academic career he has been involved in several international research projects thanks to his specialization in the integration of LiDAR technology, machine learning and remote sensing in archaeological research.
